Trophy hunting is a horrific and cruel practice that has egregious animal welfare and conservation and impacts. It is a sport that is legal in several Southern African countries, South Africa (RSA) being a key player.
Wild animals are born to be wild. They don’t belong to us - their value is not based on what they can do for people or the profit we can extract from them. We need to protect them, not own them. We need to share our planet fairly. Because we all want good lives.
World Animal Protection is working to stop wild animals from being cruelly exploited as commodities by transforming the broken systems that allow it – giving wildlife the right to a wild life.
