Dr. Judy Kimaru

Hi, I'm Judy Kimaru, Disaster Manager for Africa, World Animal Protection.

My background is in veterinary medicine and business administration which have set the stage for a career in food security and disaster management in the livestock sector. My experience spans over 23 years working across Africa and South-East Asia

I am passionate about creating sustainable solutions to animal suffering caused before, during and immediately after disasters. To ensure this, I lobby and advocate to have animal emergencies included in regional and national policies. In education, I facilitate the inclusion of high quality disaster management and curriculums in universities' faculties of veterinary medicine.

In this space, I'll be sharing our uncut journey to ensuring disasters do not continue to endanger the lives of animals. May you be inspired to join our great movement that relentlessly works to save our animals.
